Dance Instructors

We are always searching for enthusiastic and excited dance educators ready to make a difference!  We are searching for positive mentors for the next generation! You will play an imperative role in accomplishing NHAD's mission of offering top notch, professional instruction in the art of dance, helping lead our students to become great people through training in the art of dance and enriching our community.

This isn't your typical teaching job. We only hire instructors who are looking for a long term position and who want to play a role in impacting our students' lives. We are looking for members to join our team of exceptional educators who work closely together to create a positive and dynamic dance community!  We seek individuals who will be invested in the growth of our students, community and team. If you're looking for a quick, low responsibility job that gets you in and out one or two nights a week, this is not the job for you.

Job Responsibilities

​

  • Teaching dance lessons on a weekly basis with a fixed schedule.

  • Choreographing and preparing students for performances

  • Providing student feedback.

  • Communicating with parents and team members on a regular basis.

  • Attending and working at studio events wherever needed.

  • Attending 2-3 yearly staff meetings.

  • Meeting deadlines with regard to music selection, costume selections.

  • Completing daily, weekly and monthly rhythms as presented.

Position Requirements

  • Ability to teach syllabus material

  • Experience with RAD, Al Gilbert, Acrobatic Arts is a plus if applicable to your genre.

  • Experience with Google Suite a plus: Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, etc.

  • Experience with Dropbox a plus.

  • Candidates must have excellent, organization, effective verbal and written communication, creative and flexible teaching style, and an enthusiastic and warm approach with students.
